Math – Primary, Secondary School and JC Latest Syllabus
Almost all students go through this – some concepts
in Math start to get confusing because we have not been able to catch up with
the teacher’s lessons in class.
We go home, read and re-read the notes, the text
book, and do some research on the internet after our classmates tell us on
whatsapp chat that they too are feeling lost.
We tried, took the exam, and then our Math results
are returned to us. Not a good grade.
Many of the Math concepts and principles are actually
deeply and closely linked to the next. Others are completely disparate.
To do well in Math, students need teachers who
can give them proven methods of learning the core pieces of knowledge so that
they can become confident of how they understand Math topics. Students also
want outlines and clear learning goals so that they know exactly what they have
to learn.
Students need private tutors who were top
students themselves in Math and know the more effective methods to studying.
Parents
and students often tell us that learning Math is very challenging. Even for
students who consistently score As in Math, they feel that they sometimes lack
an ability to solve unstructured problems in unfamiliar contexts. They might have
done well at the recent exam, but they worry about how they will be able to
score well in the next few exams.
Success
Tutors has the largest active network of over 10,000 reliable tutors in
Singapore, comprising high-performing current and former MOE teachers, full-time
and part-time tutors, NIE students, polytechnic students, and university
undergraduates. All members of our core tutoring team have a proven track
record in helping their students to succeed.
Our
experienced private home tutors in all the MOE subjects are selected for their
expertise, their ability to teach according to their students’ needs, and their
commitment.
During
tuition sessions, our tutors will go through intensive practice, error
correction, content building, and strategies that will make the exams easier
for students to ace.
Our students are aged between 7 to 18 years old.
Some of them are preparing for major exams.
Ms FSW is one of our Math tutors. She has 5 years
experience as a home tutor to junior college students, and has worked in a
tuition centre where she taught Math to primary and secondary school students.
She graduated from NUS with a Bachelor’s in Finance and teaches mainly in the
North.
Each
of our tutors is thoroughly familiar with the MOE syllabus, textbook knowledge,
and exam requirements.
Students
enjoy learning from – and feel comfortable with – someone who can clearly tell
them how they can master difficult content.
We
are very proud of the quality of the tutors that we are able to attract and
retain. Because our tutors receive so many assignments from us, they rarely
want to register with other agencies.
Tutor rates range from $25/hour (polytechnic
students) to $80/hour (PhD-qualified).
Registration is at our website, and we look
forward to finding a tutor match for you within 6 hours.
