Chinese Tutors – Latest Primary/Secondary/Junior College Syllabus
Chinese tuition is important
The MOE stated in its Report
of the Chinese Language Curriculum and Pedagogy Review Committee that “For the
majority, the emphasis should be on effective oral communication and reading.
However, as the four language skills tend to reinforce each other, judicious
attention to writing is also essential to strengthen these language skills.”
Almost all students go through this – some concepts
in Chinese start to get confusing because we have not been able to catch up
with the teacher’s lessons in class.
We go home, read and re-read the notes, the worksheets,
and do some research on the internet after our classmates tell us on whatsapp
chat that they too are feeling lost.
We tried, took the exam, and then our Chinese results
are returned to us. Not a good grade.
The Chinese exams
Many of the Chinese concepts and principles are actually
deeply and closely linked to the next. Others are completely disparate.
To do well in Chinese, students need teachers who
can give them proven methods of learning the core pieces of knowledge so that
they can become confident of how they understand literary texts,
interpretations and styles. Students also want outlines and clear learning
goals so that they know exactly what they have to learn.
Expert Chinese tutors
Students need private tutors who were top
students themselves in Chinese and know the more effective methods to studying.

Exam
skills
During
tuition sessions with you, our tutors will go through intensive practice, error
correction, content building, and strategies that will make the exams easier
for you to ace.
Our students are aged between 7 to 18 years old.
Some of them are preparing for major exams.
Ms WN is one of our Chinese tutors. She has 1
year of tutoring experience at a Chinese tuition centre and 2 years of private
tutoring experience. She is a final year undergraduate at NUS, majoring in
Chinese Studies.
Each
of our tutors is thoroughly familiar with the MOE syllabus, textbook knowledge,
and exam requirements.
Students
enjoy learning from – and feel comfortable with – someone who can clearly tell
them how they can master difficult content.
We
are very proud of the quality of the tutors that we are able to attract and
retain. Because our tutors receive so many assignments from us, they rarely want
to register with other agencies.
Tutor rates range from $25/hour (university
undergraduates) to $80/hour (PhD-qualified).
Registration is at our website, and we look
forward to finding a tutor match for you within 6 hours.
