English tuition is important
The MOE states that the
assessment objectives of English exams include candidates being assessed in
their abilities to: “Understand and use internationally acceptable English
(Standard English) grammar and vocabulary accurately and appropriately as well
as understand how speakers/writers put words together and use language to
communicate meaning and achieve impact.”
Almost all students go through this – some concepts
in English start to get confusing because we have not been able to catch up
with the teacher’s lessons in class.

Mr TWM has 4 years of English private tutoring
experience. He taught English at a tuition centre for 2 years. Mr TWM has a
Bachelor’s from NUS, majoring in English (Honours). He scored eight A1s and one
A2 at his O Levels, and for his A Levels, he scored five As and one B. He
attended Victoria JC and St Andrew’s Secondary. His students attended Red
Swastika School, Kong Hwa School, CHIJ Katong Convent, Montfort Secondary
School, Seng Kang Secondary School and Tampines Secondary School.
Tutor rates range from $30/hour (experienced university
undergraduates) to $80/hour (NIE/PhD-qualified).
