Ms UW has been a Chemistry full-time tutor for 6
years. She graduated from NUS, majoring in Chemical Engineering (Honours). Ms
UW attended Hwa Chong Institution and scored four As at her A Levels. Her
tuition students attended Innova Junior College, Raffles Institution, Serangoon
Junior College, Jurong Secondary School, Queenstown Secondary School and Singapore
Chinese Girls’ School.
MOE requirements for Chemistry exams
The MOE states that in Chemistry exams, “These
assessment objectives cannot be precisely specified in the subject content
because questions testing these objectives may be based on information which is
unfamiliar to the candidates. In answering such questions, candidates are
required to use principles and concepts that are within the syllabus and apply
them in a logical, reasoned or deductive manner to a novel situation.”
Almost all students go through this – some

We go home, read and re-read the notes, the
worksheets, and do some research on the internet after our classmates tell us
on whatsapp chat that they too are feeling lost.
